This superb kohaku was produced by Sakai Fish Farm Hiroshima from Sakura Bloodline and the world famous Rose oyagoi. Spawned in summer 2002, Rose the oyagoi produced Tsuki tsuke Rose as one of her off springs besides other Roses’ equally interesting siblings such as Rose Queen, Rose Symbol, Beauty Rose and Ichimatsu-Rose. I’ve paid most attention on one of Tsuki tsuke’s siblings when she was a tosai and as a nisai. By upclose and friendly deal with Kentaro Sakai, I finally bought her last year. Arriving in Jakarta in November 2006 at 73 cm, I entered her into All Indonesia Koi Show in December and she easily took the Superior Champion Prize. After the Show, I kept her in my home pond. She reaches 78 cm when she was entered into this ZNA Jakarta Chapter’s fabulous International Koi Show.
Entered under my son’s name Chester she took the GC title on September 29, 2007, exactly at the same date with Chester’s 1st year anniversary.
Many people say that after becoming a GC, most koi will undergo downturns and will never reach their peak level again, becoming a ‘lonely widow’ ... but regardless what people say and whatever titles she has taken, this Tsuki tuke remains a pet to my family and we will give her the same TLC as other pets in our house, nothing less and nothing more. Anyway, another GC title for her will be just nice and welcome.
