This particular kohaku belongs to the world renowned Benibana bloodline from Sakai Hiroshima Koi Farm. Born in 1998 at Sakai Koi farm she was sold to the famous hobbysist Mr. Yoshio Tanaka.

Mr. Tanaka is well knowed in the show circuit for his fabulous koi collection and his frequent wins. Mr. Tanaka purchased this koi as a nissai and has been the sole owner of this koi until recently purchased by Sentul Park Koi Center. It wasn't an easy buy as we had to make many frequent trips to Japan to negotiate this purchase. Convincing Mr. Tanaka that his favourite koi would be taken care and looked after was important.

It was a well know fact that this koi was being groomed to become the next ALL JAPAN SHINKOKAI GRAND CHAMPION. So it wasn't easy convincing Tanaka san to sell us this koi . We had to show him pictures of our facility and plans to build a new 300 ton pond to house his favourite koi. With this convincing we succeeded. But what a responsibility we have undertaken.

During this period we introduced this koi to Dato Kamaruddin, whom at once fell in love with it and made the decision to buy her. And the rest is history.

2002 - Kokogyu prize winner.

2004 - Rinyukai Grand Champion.

2006 - 3rd runner up-ALL JAPAN SHINKOKAI SHOW

2006-Malaysian ZNA Grand Champion.
